Marx Sheet Metal and Mechanical, Inc. is a complete mechanical and HVAC contractor with a full in-house production and manufacturing facility. Located in Wilkes-Barre, our 35,000 square foot plant is central to the market areas of Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.

Our Manufacturing Facility

Marx’s capabilities cover the entire spectrum of duct and pipe manufacturing. We are flexible in custom designing systems to meet the individual needs of our diverse customer base. From the earliest pre-planning stages, Marx will devote full attention to the most minute detail of the project and will be available to answer your questions and give you up-to-the-minute status reports about your project.

Our shop can produce an average of 70,000 pounds of galvanized, stainless, and aluminum ductwork per week. Using the latest in pipe manufacturing technology, our CAD system produces spool pieces with a numbering system to go directly to the site.

Our fully qualified mechanics are skilled in both ductwork and pipe manufacturing processes. Some of our services and capabilities include:

Our Manufacturing Services at Work

Our manufacturing services have been used across industries. One of our recent projects included an addition to the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

The Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Emergency Department and Heart Center Addition represents the largest capital improvement project in Wilkes-Barre’s history.

The 110,000 square foot addition includes:

• 10 treatment rooms
• 3-bay ambulance entrance
• A specialized 7-room behavioral health unit
• Dedicated medication room
• Radiology services

The 153,000 pounds of galvanized ductwork that was installed was served by three 100 Ton custom-built air handling units that resided in the dedicated mechanical space in the mezzanine level of the facility.

The team at Marx utilized coordinated drawings from a fully integrated building information model to spool and fabricate all ductwork in manageable sections to stay ahead of other trades for a coordinated install.
